Fiona McDonagh. Acupuncturist, Cranio Sacral & Sound Therapist
I have several years of experience as a therapist, I am blessed in my work to have treated lots of people from ages 1 week to 92 years of age, either 1:1 or in group workshop sessions. I began retraining after I had children, initially I started with a Diploma in Naturopathy, that led me to begin to study for three years, for a Licence in Acupuncture. While in the middle of this training, I had the luck to be a trainee client for a friend, while she studied Biodynamic CranioSacral therapy and I so enjoyed the sensations from my sessions, I decided to add this to my practice when I completed my Acupuncture training. I usually treat clients with both Acupuncture and Craniosacral therapy in one session; I feel it really aids the healing process for everyone.
Over 7 years ago, I attended my first Sound Bath, which completely blew me away with the effects it had on my system, yet the facilitator wasn’t anywhere near me! I then completed a training particularly using Tibetan Singing Bowls and large Gongs, I love holding these group workshops. I love the feedback from people, on how it feels for them, it can have a profound effect in many ways. I hold LUXURY Sound Baths a few times a month in my clinic, regular ones monthly in Ennis & privately by arrangement elsewhere.
My most recent training was in the Raindrop Technique Massage, which is a very gentle massage technique, combined with a layering of essential oils along the spine, particularly focusing on the nervous system, which in turn benefits the whole body.
